Truly, one of the things I have always found to be the meat of the site is the actual content. Pretty layouts can oooh! and ahhh! beginning/new visitors when a new one comes along, but the content is what keeps the people coming back over and over. Information can be dry and dismal at times, so that is why I'm always interested in fun stuff too.
