Spotlight on Queen Beryl
Queen Beryl was an exceptionally tall woman. We estimate her to be about six feet tall and about one hundred sixty pounds. She had red hair, ranging from dark auborn to flaming crimson, depending on how much light there is wherever she is standing. ^__^ The only difference between her manga appearance and her anime appearance, is that she appears to have reddish-brown hair in the manga, long canine teeth like a vampire, slanted eyes, and pointy ears. o_O Remember, appearance is always a good thing to keep in mind, and she cultivated quite a creepy one in the manga.
Queen Beryl had four generals--Jadeite (whom she froze in the anime),
Nephrite (who was killed by Zoisite's minions), Zoisite (who was killed by Queen Beryl for
disobedience), Kunzite (who accidently killed himself), and Evil Prince Endymion (the man she
loved and brainwashed just to get him away from Sailormoon only to kill him later). She is
either the counterpart of Sailormoon, or Tuxedo Kamen. I think it might be the latter, because
there is still Queen Metallia to be reckoned with.
As a leader, Queen Beryl was an arse with her minions. :|
Queen Beryl had no offical trademarked attack, unless you call it the energy she used to kill
Zoisite or ice Jadeite over, or create a crystal shard to kill Prince Endymion. And just what
exactly did she do all the time with that crystal? Did it carry HBO?
On the other hand, Queen Beryl was not a woman whom you would want to make
mad. Not with her being able to command the entire Dark Kingdom and its armies. Another thing
you didn't want to do was to fail at a mission she would give you--failure was punishable by
death. Queen Beryl allowed herself a few luxeries; like a big chair to sit in, lots of
servants, darkness, the ability to kill anyone she pleased . . . She also had a crush on
Mamoru--Prince Endymion back during the Silver Millennium--and would do anything to get her
sticky fingers on him, which meant that she was greedy too.
For that, she was the kind of cruel dictator we all fear and use as our role model.
Queen Beryl was second in command in the Dark Kingdom in both the anime and the manga. Queen Beryl was a rather deadly enemy in the manga. She was . . . scrumpy in the anime. Oh well . . .
She was named after the gem, beryl, which was a blue-green stone. Many precious gems come from this mineral family, emeralds being one of them.
Anime Queen Beryl
There is a rumor somewhere that said that Queen Beryl was originally a
sorceress who fell in love with Prince Endymion. When she saw that he was in love with the
Moon Princess, she sought out a way to kill her. Somewhere along the line, (I think she
conjured up Metallia accidently) she hooked up with the Queen Metallia, brainwashed Prince
Endymion's generals into being her own, and had them attack the Moon Kingdom. But that's just a
rumor.
I really have no idea how she really got hooked up with Queen Metallia. But make no mistake
about this: Queen Beryl did brainwash Prince Endymion's four guardians into being her
generals. Each of them she used to her own ends, and to the ends of her Queen, Metallia. Queen
Beryl hated disappoinments, failure, and being told no. She also hated Sailormoon, but that's a
different story all together. Queen Beryl spent countless energy brainwashing and
re-brainwashing Mamoru, whose name she changed into Prince Endymion.
Queen Beryl's plans were always shattered. Stress can really do a person in,
you know? That would explain her grouchy attitude. Anyways, after accidently killing Mamoru who
jumped in the way of her crystal, Queen Beryl left Sailormoon and ran to Queen Metallia, who
took her body over and attacked Sailormoon.
Only to be killed by the Moon Princess. o.o How humiliating.
Manga Queen Beryl
Queen Beryl was killed by Sailorvenus with a sword she (Sailorvenus) had found when the
senshi went to visit the Moon Kingdom. Queen Beryl had been strangling Sailormoon with her hair, if you
were wondering where the blumbering blonde was. Sheesh.
Queen Beryl attacked the Moon Kingdom in the Silver Millennium, but did not destroy it. Summoned
to kill the attackers, Sailorsaturn used her Death Revolution thingy attack and destroyed
everything. So you can't blame the destruction on all the villains! The senshi do just as much
destruction.
There is very little known about Queen Beryl in the Manga, other than that. It was never
explained of where she came from, why she was in love with Endymion, how she came across
Metallia, how or why she brainwashed Endymion's generals and made them her own. We don't
know. It's a mystery . . . Oooh! Fanfic time!

I'll have you know that I personally screen-captured these pictures and made the animated gif. The animated gif was edited slightly so it looks neater than what it actually is. Now you know who to credit if you so callously run off with my work.
