Spotlight on Jadeite
Jadeite is about five feet and eight inches tall. He is the shortest of all generals. He has blond hair which curls gorgeously around his forehead, and adorable dark brown eyes! *__*
Powers? Good one! Aside from Jadeite manipilating energy to doing what he liked with it, he basically left the work to the youmas he commanded; with the slight exception of some hand-to-hand fights with Sailormoon and Tuxedo Kamen. Jadeite was not seen with any of the other generals, although Nephrite had something [not very nice] to say somethng about how he did things. But for the most part, I believe that he was a loner.
Jadiete was one of the four generals and companions of Prince Endymion on the Silver Millennium. It was also said that he courted Sailormars back on the Silver Millennium. Because of this, (and her having killed him, counterparts in the manga always fight each other), he is her evil counterpart, and evil counterparts have similiar colors. So I would say his color is a red, although I have never seen him actually associated with that color.
By employing Youmas and thinking up some cunning schemes, Jadeite managed to collect energy. Most of the time, Sailormoon and Co. would spoil things, and then he would lose all of his hard-earned energy. *aaaaw!* This did not go over too well with Queen Beryl. Aside from being very handsome, he is also a Master of Disguise! He has had more disguises than Sailormoon has transformations! oO Which is a lot when you stop and think of it.
Jadeite was probably the most efficient general of all. He realized the value of energy which could be found in the many things that "humans" did, such as being late for everything, losing weight, love, etc. etc. He was also one of the very few villains to find out who Sailormoon really was, without becoming good. He is also the very first major villain to be killed in the show! (Youmas don't count, because you can buy them for a dime a dozen at the Baddies' Novelty Shop.)
Now, I read somewhere on another site that the villains of the Dark Kingdom are too overrated. It was a site about the animates. One of the things she points out is that the villains are so weak! In the beginning, there was Jadeite. And in the beginning, there was just Usagi and her transformation pen and walking, talking kitty with a bald spot. In the beginning, Usagi was weaker than . . . ah, well, than what she was in the R season, and there were no other senshi. If the animates decided to take over the world just then, they would have suceeded. But they didn't. And there was only Jadeite.
Jadeite has a good tolerence. It wasn't until episode four in the DiC version, he said, "That Sailor Moon is getting on my nerves!" But wasn't that when Usagi had met up with Ami? Ah well.
After thirteen episodes of fighting with the senshis, them ruining his plans, Queen Beryl getting upset, his final battle came at him in a rushing blow. It was in the airport. Jadeite used valuable energy to bring these airplanes alive and chase Moon, Mars, and Mercury.
Mars pasted her anti-evil scroll on Jadeite, and caused the jets to chase him. This led to another fight, and then he was forcefully sucked into the Dark Kingdom by Queen Beryl. (In the DiC version, he went back by his own will, which wasn't right in the first place because who would want to go back when they knew that they had used their last chance and the result was death?) Perhaps not death. Queen Beryl turned him into an ice cube, and he now sits up in the North Pole, along with all of that ice and snow, just waiting for some kind of exavator to come along and thaw him out. ^__^ I feel a fanfiction idea coming to mind!
In the manga, instead of looking for energy, the Dark Kingdom had been looking for the ginzuishou (Silver Crystal), and had been doing so for several years all over the world, narrowing the search down to Tokyo. In the last act Jadeite appeared in--also the act where Sailormars was introduced, he kidnapped the said senshi, pulling her onto the Evil Six O'Clock Bus, where many people have been disappearing.
He took the bus into a dimension where the Dark Kingdom was located at. Being unconscience at the time, Hino Rei did not know what was going on. Here, at a little scene, Jadeite shows to have some "feelings" for her, just as he did back on the Silver Millennium.
Sailormoon, who had caught ahold of the bus before it disappeared, showed up right about here and then challenged him. She threw her tiara at him, and he caught it. With a push of a button on Ami's computer, Luna made the tiara expand and then encircle Jadeite, trapping him. His eyes flashed and Sailormoon was sent crashing against things. Hino Rei woke up right about here, saw what was going on, transformed, and then attacked Jadiete with her Fire Soul Love, turning him into a crisp, black, smoking, corpse. Sorry to all you kids out there. ;_; But don't feel bad; I have the manga act where it happens.
Jadeite is the youngest of all generals, and the weakest in power. (But definetly the cutest! Woohoo! I love the way his hair curls around to form a heart! In the anime, he's known as the King of Illusions, and in the manga, he is the General of the Far Eastern Army
He was named for the mineral, jadeite (sodium aluminum silicate), and is one of the two minerals called Jade; it tends to be pink. Funny though, I always thought it was green or something . . . And like the rest of the generals, turned into stones when Queen Beryl summoned power from Queen Metalia. Queen Beryl gave them to evil Prince Endymion, who kept them throughout the entire manga, calling on them to help with problems, such as in the R season when the Darkmoon clan was underfoot all the time. His DiC name is Jedite. Personally, Jadeite is my favorite general. Aside from being handsome and single, he had an unique quittage in both the anime and the manga! *__*
