Learning from the mistakes of others
This is a pretty straightforward chapter and should be fairly easy for you to
learn.
Everyone should learn from mistakes. The only ones who can't are the ones who
wind up dead. Obviously, you don't want to end up like them, so you need to avoid these
mistakes. So, rather than going by a trial-and-error basis (which isn't wise, in your profession),
we'll take advantage of learning from others and laughing at their foolishness! Hahaha!
Love
One of the far more popular mistakes a villain can ever make is to fall in
love with someone, either a good guy or a bad guy. The problem with this is that falling in love is
unavoidable, unless you outright killed Cupid. (And why not, really? After all, you ARE evil!)
The only other best way to avoid this problem is to find something that makes your hormones
just about non-existent. Is there something on the market that cancels out the effect of viagra?
Bad sidekicks
This one takes out just as much--if even more--villains than love. Think of
Mimete and Tellu of the Witches 5. The latter Witch literally pulled the plug on the other one.
I'm very sure that if they had tried working together like the 5th Witch had, then they might have
succeeded. So what you need to do is either work alone, or in perfect agreement with someone who
isn't willing to stab you in the back. Remember: don't cut the paychecks.
Incompetence
While it is true we can be upset a lot by such mannerism, there is
still no reason to go around killing people when they fail; especially if they find out
Sailormoon's identity. Control your temper for goodness' (er, badness') sake! I am going to use
Xelloss from Slayers as a perfect example of evil getting away with everything because he was
not the evil stereotype that was always losing its temper and blowing up its minions
(which seems to be the major fault of all the evil people from Sailormoon). Xelloss is a quiet
person who smiles too much and enjoys making everyone as uncomfortable as possible. But he is
almost always in control of his feelings, and he smiles a lot. Now, no one in Sailormoon was
like that except for Sailor Aluminum Siren who was done in by an ambitious colleague. Smile a
lot, and always stay in control of your emotions. And watch out for jealous colleagues. Try
to kill them before they get to you. ( . . . Wait a minute, didn't I just say that? . . . Oh well.)
Being nice
How many of the really good bad villains became good because they were talked
into it by Sailormoon? A good lot of them, like the Ayakashi Sisters and the Amazoness Quartet.
Sailormoon has a kind heart, and if you want to be truly evil, use her then lose her. Simple,
neh? No? Then I will explain it to you. Once she thinks you are her friend, find out as
much of her as you can--like who she really is (Tsukino Usagi). And then kill her in the
end. Which brings up another point:
Bungling Idiocy
One piece of advice: don't be one. Just to save me the trouble of having to
put up with you after you take over the world. I really hate idiots.
Listening to those stupid speeches of theirs.
If you have nothing better to do, you can sit there when the senshi show up
and listen to them jabber on about how they are going to punish you because what you are doing
is evil and bad (well, duuuuh!). If you don't feel up to it, just attack them. This will also
give you the element of surprise. And besides that, it's fun to beat up on them when they least
expect it!
